Whitemist- Not in the least. I talk to alot of people via the internet in London, Scotland etc..They really think we are a capatlist aka almost imperialistic nation. I can see that through their eyes and my own. My one friend always asks me how things are going in the war-monger country.
Fuck 'em. When they stand and deliver more than a token to the debate rather than continue to acquire as much American swag as they can then I will say they have a valid opinion. Let the rest of the world suck off the British tit for awhile, see how their folks like being the engine for the world.
I do know one thing. I have alot of bloggers who live in the UK. They say the NHS is just like welfare here. You can't pick your doctor, which I would have a personal problem with. My one friend has been out of work for 6 months and she is living on the British "dole", I guess that is what they call welfare. Everyone is blaming us for their failing economy. They say shit trickles down. I say it explodes like diareaha. (sp).Kenny used to very angry with me when I would make disparagine remarks about our country. He was very patriotic. He had traveled overseas, I have not yet. He said, their is no place liket this and be thanful you live here. He always said he loved his country, just didn't like our government. Ken used to cry when he heard the National Anthem. Also, that is one of the motivating factors in my lawsuit. This man loved this country. Anyhow, until people's innate greed and always wanting "more" goes away nothing will ever get better. I don't see that happening.

I wouldn't mind a national health system for this country. If I had to use a clinic doctor all that would mean is I would have to be educated about myself and condition.
What pisses me off is that the rest of the world rode the American consumer to their wealth and then want to piss and moan because we can no longer afford the goods and services they sell. Then want to blame us as predators.
When the fact of the matter is it is us, the Americans, that have been preyed upon by them. The world looks to us to finance their economy and then takes no responsibility when it tanks.
I have long advocated and still do that we return to a purchase nothing that is not needed society and then even if it costs a few dollars more purchase from a locally owned business, not a chain, and a locally produced product.
Amen, every local business on the street I live on is owned by Pakistanians or Indians. I remember when I was 11 and my dad had to give out 300 pink slips at his shoe factory. First time I saw my dad cry. He told me than. Only buy American produced products. The factory closed because all the shoes starting coming in from Korea and China etc. The factory closed and it broke my dads heart. I never forgot. Only buy American. When I get my settlement, oneday, from the Va, I am going to grow my own veggies and produce. Ken and I had a hell of a garden. That whole summer we didn't have to buy anything from the market veggie/produce wise. I agree with you. The mega Wal-Marts etc. have ruined the smalltime man who owned the local hardware store etc. Gotta go to work, I could rant for hours about this. God Bless and be well..
