Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatter's

My favorite story growing up had to be Alice in Wonderland. I believed there really was this magical looking glass. Rabbit Holes..etc. Guess what? I don't think I was that far off in my distorted thinking. When I watch CNN I see a group of Mad Hatter's. Babbling at some charitable tea-party. Dick Cheney is a viable Cheshire Cat. He taught Bush the ‘rules’ of Wonderland. He gave him insight in how things work down there in DC. Smiling and hiding. Than the Queen of Hearts I suppose, would be Ms. Rice.."OFF WITH HER HEAD". For my own mental happiness I am choosing to keep my cherished memories of my favorite book the way it was intended. *Disclaimer- I am now officially a grown-up and no longer follow white rabbits down holes...Peace

The analogy works though but you're right keep your memories of the story clean of politics.

Just ask Alice...Cooper.

NO FEAR

Lucky you; it's kind of OT, but I still follow the white rabbit sometimes. That's what I call it when I'm in a "downswing" (also my term)and my depression takes over, and I just want to "climb in a hole and pull it in after me". When I'm so down that I can't leave the house or even get out of bed, that's when I'm "down the rabbit hole".

It's a super dark hole, guess I shouldn't be surprised to encounter Bush and Cheney down there; Cheney sitting on a tree limb, grinning inscrutably, Bush dressed in a King of Clubs outfit playing Court Jester, and Rice screaming irrationally "Off with their heads!" while a bunch of low-to-middle class Americans cower in fear....

See, I feel so much better. I am not alone, dammit...people I hope realize what serious economic trouble is looming towards us just like the hurricanes.
