Lou- You can tell Andrew about burning bridges. I walked out of Denny's and was a no rehire. They were mostly corporate back then. Well there are three women that are still there that remember me. He called me in and asked me why I walked out. I told the truth. That I had a drug problem which affected my decision making. He said I passed his honesty test because he already new. He said just don't disappoint me. He owns this Denny's. I was working my way into management back than in '98, Kenny and I got married, we both worked there. Than we relapsed. I made a decent living at Denny's. The point for Andrew is I have learned when someone asks you a direct question honesty is usually the best way to go, in all situations. Sometimes you tone it down because some people aren't opened minded. He just said that in order to be an employee for him you must be honest. He knows I never stole, and that I have all my certificates etc. He pulled alot of string at the main Denny's office to get my job back. He said he heard I was a legendary waitress there and now I have to prove it. I think I am going to like this man. Tell Andrew his past doesn't have to haunt him. We all make mistakes. IE Trotsky, I just find that quote interesting. I was magnanimous when I couldn't afford it, and now am suffering the consequences. It applies to broader things, I just found it very interesting. Hang in there, lady. The Dennys by my house is always packed. Because they serve good, affordable food!
